My fascination with plants probably happened when I began plucking tulips from my landlord's garden when I was 6. Plucked them straight out of the ground bulb and all...
It wasn't until a few years back until I got serious and started planting flowers and herbs on my own. Watching them grow is such a rewarding feeling.
Of course I had to combine the two passions of photography and plants = Plant Study!

Wildflower Bouquet
Finally!!! Flowers!!! I was so excited to make this bouquet, as soon as the first blooms came up. Pictured are bachelor buttons in blue, purple and dark purple, baby's breath (although I always thought they looked bushier... maybe it's a different variety) and I'm not quite sure what the yellow and orange ones are called.
More of these flowers to adorn the house as the summer continues.
Happy first day of Summer!!

Sprouts, blooms, & cuts
Two different varieties of roses from the garden.
Red plumeria is about to sprout soon!! It looks very strange and alien-like when it does sprout. I hope it flowers this year. It will smell divine!!!
My yellow ranunculus bloomed.
A little experimentation with sun sensitive photo paper. A few different weeds and leaves from the garden.
